Poem

I. The question: “what is modernity”
a cavernous tooth-ache.
I undress and consider
a body incapable of making history.

II. Digital cameras produce a
composite humanity
cropped most unflatteringly.

III.  Disheveled before sunrise
time loses its solidity
exhaustion nudges the infinite.

IV.  Believing in your own opinions
is a way of turning your back on the world.

V. It is time to reincarnate as the people.
